Thoughts on happiness – The secrets of a young african woman

The picture of a Young African woman inspired me. She was smiling. She seemed happy, serene. Grateful for what she had. Despite her poverty. Definitively, happiness has nothing to do with wealth. Happiness lies on our ability to appreciate what we have.The smile of this woman reminds me a poem by Frank Irvin Fletcher : the value of a smile.

'A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive, without impoverishing those who give.

Some people are too tired to give you a smile, give them one of yours. As none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to be give '
